Vex Robotics is a competition that our school is taking part in this year. First we had to build a Robot. When it was finished, we tested all of the features to see if anything was not working. 6th and 5th class worked together to build the robot.
In the real competition, we will work together with another team. There are three rounds to try and get as many point as possible. The challenges we have to do include: 1 minute of driving time, 1 minute of autonomous driving time and 1 minute on the game board. The game board is the most important of the challenges because that is where you get the most points. On the game board the are small cylinders called 'hubs'. Hubs are what you have to lift up and bring to the scoring zone to earn points. The teams with the most points at the end wins. The practice run is on the 12th of November and the competition is sometime in January. by Lea Pederson |
